Job description

Overview

Enterprise Security Services Corporation is hiring Unarmed Security Officers to support retail and shopping-center sites in the Winchester area. A women-owned and minority-owned company with 30-plus years of experience, we provide attentive, professional security with a focus on protecting people and property.

Where you'll work

Officers serve client locations in and around Winchester, primarily retail stores and shopping centers, along with similar venues. Assignments are based on coverage needs and can change from one to the next, so we look for officers who can work dependably across the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible deterrent against shoplifting, theft, and disorderly conduct
  • Observe shopper and staff activity to identify suspicious or unsafe behavior
  • Patrol sales floors, entrances, and parking areas throughout the shift
  • Respond to and document incidents of theft or disturbance accurately
  • Provide courteous assistance and directions to customers
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and report concerns to management
  • Support opening and closing procedures as assigned

Requirements

  • Possess or be able to obtain a Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer registration
  • Meet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility requirements for security registration
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Reliable transportation to assigned sites in the Winchester area
