Job description

What a day in this role looks like

You start on the production floor, scanning dashboards and walking lines to confirm equipment is running smoothly and safely. A utility usage check follows—electric, gas, water—before you review the wastewater system and ensure compliance and reliability. Mid-morning, you prioritize preventive maintenance, coordinate a new equipment install with engineering, and verify that parts and materials are on hand. When an unexpected issue pops up, you move quickly—troubleshooting, directing the team, and getting operations back online. In the afternoon, you meet with security and service vendors, coach technicians, and close the day by updating maintenance plans and safety action items.

Key responsibilities you will own
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of all production machinery, buildings, building systems (HVAC, electrical, gas, water, etc.), and grounds to maximize performance, reduce downtime, support safety, and control costs.
  • Manage site utilities (electric, gas, water, etc.) and wastewater treatment operations.
  • Direct site security program, including guard services, ID badge administration, and contractor/visitor access.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control all maintenance programs and activities.
  • Lead, schedule, and develop the Maintenance team; assign work and manage performance.
  • Procure materials and supplies; maintain inventory levels to ensure timely job completion.
  • Handle personnel supervision, problem resolution, and performance reporting to management.
  • Ensure a safe, orderly work environment across Maintenance and Wastewater Treatment areas.
  • Drive and enforce safe work practices and procedures.
  • Build and sustain robust preventive maintenance programs for facilities, equipment, and machinery.
  • Coordinate new equipment installations with Engineering, from planning to start-up support.
  • Administer third-party services, including security guard providers, cleaning services, and landscaping vendors.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; B.S. in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, gas, manufacturing equipment, building codes, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to respond rapidly to emergencies and drive solutions.
  • Proven management capability to plan, direct, organize, and control work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships across diverse teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a disciplined, structured approach to problem solving.
  • Track record of motivating, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Sound judgment and confident decision-making.
  • Leadership for change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Clear communication skills—listening, writing, speaking, and presenting.
  • Self-driven, results-focused, and collaborative.
Technical strengths
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • HVAC troubleshooting
  • Maintenance and repair skills
  • Industrial electrical systems

Lead the team that keeps the plant running—safely, reliably, and efficiently.
