As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Gloucester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, production-adjacent areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
