FLSA Class: Hourly Non-Exempt
Reports to: Chief Engineer
Job Summary:
The maintenance engineer provides an attractive, clean, safe,and well-maintained property, using a systematic approach that maximizes guestsatisfaction and adequately controls labor andmaterial.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintainand repair the interior and exterior of the building, guest rooms, meeting rooms,laundry, lighting, HVAC, ventilation, water treatment systems, and swimmingpool.
• Inspectall operating systems and components of the hotel to ensure they operate correctly, efficiently, and safely.
• Communicateand enforce all hotel policies and procedures.
• Informmanagement of hazardous situations, emergencies, or security threats.
• Maintained a clean and organized maintenance shop and ensured the security of hotel inventory.
• Assistall guests sincerely and courteously while going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes toensure guest satisfaction.
• Understandand respond to customer needs and ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Performpreventative maintenance on all mechanical/electrical equipment, HVAC units,refrigeration, plumbing systems, and guest rooms while maintaining accuraterecords of all work performed.
• Ensure everyonein the department is trained and uses Quore daily.
• Maintainthe cleanliness of hotel grounds.
• Assistwith hotel security to minimize the risk of theft, crime, and other hazards.
• Followand adhere to all standards and regulations set forth by the designated hotel and asdirected by management.
• Be aBrand Ambassador of A&R's Culture, Mission and Values.
• Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
• Able to accept directions and priorities from members of management and reliably follow through on tasks.
• Proficient in Quore.
• Highly energetic and motivated individual
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with machinery both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities while adapting quickly to change
• Results-driven focus and ability to work through to completion promptly
