What You'll Do

As a Security Officer, you will help ensure the safety and security of our students, staff, visitors, and facilities by:

  • Conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols throughout campus.
  • Monitoring campus activity and responding to safety concerns, suspicious behavior, and emergencies.
  • Enforcing campus policies, procedures, and security regulations fairly and professionally.
  • Performing security inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities.
  • Assisting staff with conflict resolution and responding to disturbances when necessary.
  • Conducting preliminary investigations and documenting incidents accurately.
  • Controlling parking and traffic flow on campus.
  • Enforcing student pass and visitor access procedures.
  • Providing escort services for students, staff, and visitors as needed.
  • Building positive relationships with students while promoting a safe and respectful campus culture.
  • Responding calmly and effectively during emergencies and critical incidents.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support campus operations.

Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement within three (3) months of hire.
  • Water Safety Certification required or the ability to obtain certification as required.
