Job description

Jr. Security Specialist

Jr. Security Specialist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the team with day-to-day administration and execution of the Corporate Security Program, supporting its continued growth and scalability, including:
  • Maintaining and updating security program documentation, records and files
  • Assist in managing corporate security SharePoint sites, and other relevant security databases
  • Assist with corporate security processes, form creation, and plan writing
  • Support the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) program by implementing proper handling, storage, and dissemination procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Support other Corporate Security initiatives as needed
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee requests and questions on general security-related matters, including:
    • Physical security compliance adherence to company policies and industry regulations
    • Personnel security to include initiating and maintaining clearance requirements, training and foreign travel briefings
    • Badge and facility access requests
    • Visitor control and escort procedures

Jr. Security Specialist Position Requirements:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance or equivalent DOE security clearance with ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge, experience, and understanding of Industrial Security
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and ability to problem solve
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Occasional travel to ARA offices as needed

Preferences:

  • Working knowledge of government security systems including DISS, NBIS and SWFT
  • Demonstrate the ability to help manage and oversee comprehensive security programs
  • Knowledge of open storage areas, SCIF standards, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
  • Knowledge of the requirements pertaining to CUI
  • Knowledge of CMMC physical security requirements
  • Knowledge of communications security (COMSEC)
