Job description

AGS, is looking for a Guard II to work in Albuquerque, New Mexico. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Responsibilities * Answers telephone calls, greets customers (both visitors and permanent parties), responds to security emails, takes messages and routes calls to a responsible Security Team Lead.
* Inventories and ensures all badges are present and/or accounted for at the beginning and end of each tour of duty and maintains a record of all badges issued. * Immediately notifies the PM/COR and team lead of badges that are not accounted for. Possesses a general knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) programs and databases in order to perform the varied administration duties required by the Security Division.
* Processes all visiting customers to the RD-TSX facility. Ensures that all visitors entering the facility are in possession of a valid DTRA security access badge. * Verifies the visitor's identification from a picture ID, validates visitor clearance status and processes badges utilizing the automated security database, DISS, and if applicable, calls the SSO in less than five (5) minutes, except in unusual circumstances. * Whenever a security clearance cannot be validated, the visitor shall be added to the system and issued an "Escort Required" badge.
* Contacts visitor's DTRA sponsor to inform sponsor of the visitor entering DTRA facilities.
* Briefs sponsors of visitors issued "Escort Required" badges, on their responsibilities as escorts for un-cleared personnel.
* Verifies all badges are properly turned in or invalidated when the individual no longer is granted or needs access. * All turn-ins must be annotated in the security database(s) or the proper badge log.
* Maintains accurate forms, databases and logs for all daily visits and badge inventories. Composes, edits and prepares memorandums, reports, forms, and other security-related material as required for final review by Security Team Lead.
* Validates all requests are current in DISS prior to issuing a badge. Issues appropriate badge for the security clearance level.
* Maintains the confidentiality of all official business conducted while performing duties in support of this contract.
* Provides weekly reports and metrics to the PM/COR.
* The access control personnel will also provide escort duties as needed. Qualifications * Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to function in all types of weather environments.
* Must be able to take general directions, both oral and written.
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Must have a Secret Clearance
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* One year of general work experience dealing with the public.
