About the Job As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design, develop, and maintain high-quality cross platform applications using technologies such as .NET, C#, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Engineering. You'll lead technical efforts for new feature development, optimize existing features, and ensure applications meet performance, quality, security, and scalability requirements, bringing a deep understanding of cross platform application architecture and UI/UX design principles.


Job Description


Application Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain robust cross platform applications using modern .NET, C#, and .NET Core for scalable, efficient builds.

• Implement and optimize user interfaces, and integrate software modules with hardware, video/streaming systems, and other software systems using SQL/DB management, REST/COM interfaces, and client-server architecture.

• Design software architectures for complex, scalable, maintainable features, and document them clearly for the team.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks — responsiveness, memory, CPU efficiency, and video/streaming performance — using profiling and diagnostic tools.

• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.


Technical Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, lead code reviews, and champion ownership of critical technical decisions.

• Evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and AI-assisted development workflows to improve velocity and code quality.

• Drive initiatives that improve team collaboration and effectiveness.


Quality Assurance & Delivery

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated UI tests, and partner with QA to debug and resolve defects.

• Participate in continuous integration processes to support frequent, reliable releases.


Requirements Gathering & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specs and user stories.

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies, and justify priority and design trade-offs during estimation.

Requirements:

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in cross platform application development using modern .NET, C# with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, performant applications.

• Expert-level proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, C#; WPF and C++experience a plus.

• Strong understanding of SQL/DB management, communications protocols (TCP, etc.), REST/COM interfaces, client-server architecture, threading models, and asynchronous programming.

• Experience with UI/UX design principles, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Video/streaming technology and camera profile management experience, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, are both strong pluses.

• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while owning complex technical challenges.
