Job description

KFC YUM! CENTER operated by Legends Global is a multi-use entertainment venue in Louisville, Kentucky. The KFC Yum! Center offers a variety of world class events including concerts, family shows, sporting events and other special events, while providing a clean and safe environment and guaranteeing the ideal entertainment guest experience and satisfaction.

Legends Global houses offices on five continents, the company uses its global network of venues, portfolio of powerful sports and music brands, ticketing and content distribution platforms and its integrated entertainment districts to deliver the most creative and innovative live sports and entertainment experiences that inspire athletes, teams, artists and fans.

Position Summary:

Oversees the safety and security of the KFC Yum! Center’s patrons, employees, and assets.

Second Shift: 3pm-11pm $14.00/hr

Essential Functions:

  • Patrols the building on a regular basis so that the interior and exterior of the building remains secure during entire shift.

  • Responds to all safety and security calls to ensure incidents are resolved in a professional and timely manner.

  • Screens and logs visitors to ensure appropriate access to building.

  • Monitors activity on security cameras and ensure devices are in working order. Reviews previous footage on cameras as directed.

  • Operates Lutron system to make sure that lighting is provided in necessary areas.

  • Retrieves relevant information to investigate and compile accurate incident reports.

  • Interacts effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons, etc., to prevent aggravated circumstances from intensifying. Assists with the ejection or control of unruly, disruptive, and intoxicated guests.

  • Regulates crowds during venue “on sales” to maintain control of ticket lines .

  • Enables and disables alarm system as directed to ensure system is in proper working order.

  • Coordinates and logs building keys so that designated personnel are given access to appropriate areas and that all keys are accounted for. Unlocks and opens doors as necessary.

  • Participates in training conducted by the Security Manager in order to review emergency response plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency

  • Must have a minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience; 1 is preferred

  • Understand relevant laws and penal codes pertaining to safety and security (e.g., loitering and skateboarding ordinances)

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays

  • CPR certified
