Red Deer Resort & Casino is seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as as Part-TimeCasino Security. As a Casino Security, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our patrons, team members, and property. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol the casino premises to prevent and detect any security breaches or suspicious activities.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and criminal activities.
  • Assist guests and team members in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Intervene in disputes or altercations to de-escalate situations and restore order while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the integrity of casino operations.
  • Collaborate with other security team members and departments to maintain a cohesive security strategy.
  • Enforce casino policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
  • Enforce age restrictions, gaming regulations, and other legal requirements to ensure compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis (AGLC) standards.
  • Assist in executing evacuation procedures during emergencies and ensure all staff and patrons are accounted for.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with security protocols.
  • Provide additional security during large-scale or high-profile events, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Assist in training new security personnel on policies, equipment usage, and situational protocols.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent observation and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in operating surveillance and security equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must meet AGLC's requirements


Work Environment

  • Walking for long periods of time to cover extended distances throughout the hotel;
  • Performing repetitive work;
  • Frequently lifts and or carries up to twenty-five (25) pounds;
  • Occasionally lifts and or carries up to fifty (50) pounds;
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills;
  • Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, bend at the waist and repeatedly stooping;
  • Work environment is primarily inside, with the occasional requirement to walk the outside premises of the hotel.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, hot to cold, dust, loud noises, and irate guests;
  • Flooring can be concrete, tile, carpet, cement or gravel when walking outside.
