Ready to suit up as an Assistant Shift Security Supervisor

Your strength in supervision lies in your ability to mobilize a team, build trust, and encourage collaboration. If you know how to rally people around common goals, this position is for you.

As an Assistant Shift Security Supervisor, you will be leading a team of guards, ensuring that security operations run smoothly and providing exceptional customer service. You will report to the Shift Supervisor and Site Supervisor. You will work with people from all shifts in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities for an Assistant Shift Security Supervisor
  • Lead a team of on-site security guards
  • Review all submitted team incident reports for quality assurance
  • Liaise with client, contractors, tenants, emergency services
  • Review and export of CCTV footage using digital CCTV systems
  • Providing excellent customer service to various tenants
  • Provide first aid and basic life safety in an emergency situation
  • Must be able to cover a guards shift on a as needed basis
  • Coordinating day to day operations to the shift supervisor
  • Complete daily reports and incident reports
  • All other related duties
Qualifications for an Assistant Shift Security Supervisor
  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Alberta security license
  • Must be able to work 4/4 12 hour rotational shift 2 days/2 nights
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in security and team management
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills both oral and written
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to follow operational security measures, protect confidential information, and exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Must have strong customer service skills, mature attitude and professionalism
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
