Their main duties include monitoring surveillance systems, checking identification, assisting with access control, and ensuring that security protocols are followed. They often serve as the first point of contact for visitors and employees, helping to maintain a safe environment. Security Assistants may also respond to incidents, report suspicious activities, and work closely with other security personnel. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a security assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Security Assistant, you need a solid understanding of security protocols, surveillance techniques, and often a high school diploma or equivalent.
