Job Summary:
As the organization that touches all our employees, the Human Resources department has a special role in capitalizing on opportunities and creating the future for Bechtel. The HR Data Analyst will provide business users and management with easy access to comprehensive, integrated workforce and talent information and analysis that is credible, reliable, actionable and reasonable.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver workforce analytics, reporting solutions, and data-driven insights that support Human Resources programs and business objectives.
  • Produce ad hoc reports/queries including information to support special initiatives and data for leadership presentations
  • Partner with business units to translate business needs into defined report requirements
  • Identify opportunities to integrate between databases and reporting tools to improve reporting; seek opportunities to drive innovation and process improvement within the reporting spectrum
  • Leverage HR systems and reporting tools to analyze workforce data and provide timely, actionable information to stakeholders.
  • Provide data analysis to support business development, leadership reviews and process improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate data security and data protocols are implemented and followed at all times.
  • Establish data quality monitoring & metrics on key business data.
  • Provide adherence to reporting statutory regulations and legal obligations.
  • Work with IS&T and HR Systems/Technology teams to assure thorough, efficient and accurate data results from reporting tools and processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, IT or related measurable field and 3 years of experience working in a reporting environment, with recognized ability to deliver high quality & accurate reports within demanding timelines OR 5 years overall related experience in lieu of Degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proven experience in complex data analytics and developing statistical reporting.
  • Experience using data visualization and analytics tools to transform complex workforce data into meaningful insights and recommendations; Power BI experience preferred.
  • Experience in analysis and complex data interpretation with the ability to present information and insights to all layers of the organization in a concise, clear, and timely manner.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate, and tie together master HR data through various reporting platforms and analytical systems to include Talentworks, Business Objects, SAP, PowerBI, and/or other HR systems tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Office, Teams, Outlook, etc.)

Perferred Qualifications:
  • Recognized HR Generalist knowledge and experience across a broad range of HR work processes, policies, and systems.
  • Experience building reports and extracting data from HR reporting systems (Business Objects, TalentWorks, SAP, etc.)
  • Possess service mindset and ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to exercise initiative and make decisions with little or no supervision and be accountable for such actions
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Evidence of business acumen with recognized results in influencing and advising managers and leaders at all levels
