As a company with two decades of experience, our clients include the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Services (DHS/FPS); Department of Defense, Pentagon Force Protection Agency (DoD/PFPA), Department of the Army and Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DoS/DS) National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE).
Job Details
TAMS/PTS Administrator:
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
OBJECTIVE This position is responsible for managing the FPS mandated Training and Academy Management System (TAMS) and the Post Tracking System operations (PTS) for all FPS contracts. Job Overview
The TAMS Administrator is responsible for managing the Training and Academy Management System (TAMS) and Post Tracking System (PTS) for FPS security contracts. This role ensures compliance with FPS training, record-keeping, and equipment tracking requirements.
Key Responsibilities TAMS & Compliance Management:
  • Maintain and update employee training records, certifications, background checks, and compliance documents.
  • Ensure all FPS-mandated records are accurately stored and transferred to TAMS.
  • Coordinate with HR, Training, and Program Managers to track drug tests, medical exams, and firearms qualifications.

Post Tracking System (PTS) Administration:
  • Oversee the purchase, deployment, and maintenance of FPS-approved PTS tablets.
  • Train site personnel on PTS operations and ensure proper use.
  • Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and technical issues.
  • Track inventory and monitor security compliance of PTS devices.

Documentation & Reporting:
  • Create and maintain user manuals and guidelines for TAMS and PTS.
  • Provide reports on compliance, inventory, and system performance as required.
  • Communicate with FPS representatives regarding system updates or inquiries.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented - Strong organizational skills for managing large amounts of data.
  • Technical Proficiency - Experience with database systems, records management, and software like WinTeam & FileBound.
  • Communication Skills - Ability to guide and train employees on system use.
  • Problem-Solving - Quick response to system issues and troubleshooting.
  • Customer Service - Work professionally with internal teams and FPS representatives.

Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma (Associate/bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Experience: 2+ years in training, records management, or security operations.
  • Availability: Must be responsive during business hours (7 AM - 4 PM) and available for occasional nights/weekends.
  • Travel: Less than 20%.Travel required to Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
