Securify is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Security Systems Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of low-voltage physical security system projects, including access control, intrusion detection systems, and CCTV. You will ensure the effective design, implementation, and delivery of security solutions that meet client requirements while maintaining project profitability. The ideal candidate excels at managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and balancing technical execution with financial performance.

As a Security Systems Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of the project, from initial planning and design through project closure, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with industry standards and client expectations. Success in this role requires extensive experience managing low-voltage physical security projects, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading projects in construction, electrical, or systems integration is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Project Delivery

  • Lead design, engineering, scheduling, and field execution for access control, CCTV, intrusion, and other low-voltage security system projects.

  • Coordinate and direct internal technicians and subcontractors from project start-up through commissioning and closeout.

  • Supervise and monitor service level agreement commitments and ensure technical work meets scope, quality, and safety standards.

Communication & Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects, maintaining clear and professional communication.

  • Provide regular status reports to customers and key stakeholders, including weekly updates on schedule, risks, and next steps.

  • Meet with potential clients, present proposals, and participate in weekly client meetings to review progress and address issues.

Financial & Documentation Management

  • Provide overall financial management of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

  • Manage job costs, vendors, labor, and procurement to support project profitability.

  • Understand and follow established bid procedures and billing processes.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including status reports, change orders, material flow, correspondence, punch lists, audits, schedules, and closeout packages.

  • Close out projects in a timely manner with complete as-built documentation and financial reconciliation.

Process & Standards

  • Contribute to the development and ongoing enhancement of technical drawing standards and workflows to improve the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of project documentation.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, project requirements, and specifications to guide project execution.

  • Perform other duties as assigned that support project success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Technical & Project Background

  • Proven experience managing projects that include access control, security alarm systems, CCTV, and other low-voltage physical security systems.

  • Background in construction, electrical, low-voltage security, or systems integration is preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and project requirements.

Project Management

  • A minimum of five years of project management experience is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for projects.

Professional Skills

  • Self-starter who works effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and build productive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills in managing documentation, schedules, and deliverables.

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and willingness to travel regularly to client locations and job sites.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a project context.

Preferred Experience & Credentials

  • Direct experience managing commercial physical security or low-voltage projects, ideally in the Bay Area or similar markets.

  • Knowledge of access control, CCTV, intercom, and intrusion detection systems and their integration with networks.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required. Relevant coursework, training, or equivalent experience in project management is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds as needed for equipment, materials, and tools.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders or stairs during site visits and installation oversight.

  • Ability to work on construction sites and in mechanical or electrical rooms, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust.

  • Ability to travel regularly to client locations and job sites and move between office, warehouse, and field environments throughout the workday.

  • Ability to use standard hand tools, test equipment, and laptops or mobile devices while on site.

Work Location

  • This is an in-person position based at our Mountain View, California office and requires a daily commute.

  • The role involves frequent travel to client sites within the service area and occasional longer-distance travel within the United States, based on project and team needs.
