Job description

General Definition of Work
  • Position responsible for umpiring of all leagues and tournaments offered by the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department

Essential Functions
  • Be at assigned game sites at least fifteen minutes before scheduled game time.
  • Conduct all pre and post game duties (coin toss, meet team captains, rule interpretations).
  • Ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Secure hazardous free playing area.
  • Conduct yourself in a confidant and secure manner.
  • Call all games as to rules set forth by the Missouri State High School Athletic Association, NCAA, USA, or other governing bodies.
