As a Security Officer Secure Entry in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control, and patrol assigned areas to help support a secure environment. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, credential verification, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check badges and/or visitor credentials, manage sign-in processes, and report unusual or unauthorized access activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations at the location with professionalism, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Support daily operations at a fast-paced technology-focused location by following post orders, maintaining awareness of restricted areas, and assisting with security-related inquiries and/or directions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
