Job description

POSITION: Property Manager
LOCATION: San Diego, CA.
STATUS: Full Time
 
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with Section 42 (IRS) and/or Project-Based Section 8 (HUD) regulations, & fostering a positive living environment for residents
• Coordinating resident activities / Collecting rent & serve late notices as needed / expense tracking to maintain the financial health of the community.
• Cultivate positive relationships w/ residents through effective communication, conflict resolution, & community engagement initiatives.
• Overseeing maintenance operations
• Coordinating leasing activities, and processing lease applications.
• Prepare weekly & monthly compliance reports and documenting files
• Supervise staff including maintenance techs & administrative personnel.
 
Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in low income/affordable housing property management preferred w/ focus on Section 42 (IRS) and/or Project-Based Section 8 (HUD) programs
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Practices, tax credit, & HUD compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, & communication skills; customer focus; respect for confidentiality; ability to work w/ diverse populations, & work tactfully within a fast-paced environment
