What is a Section 8 property manager?

A Section 8 Property Manager is a real estate professional who manages rental properties that participate in the federal Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Their responsibilities include ensuring the property complies with all Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, coordinating with local housing authorities, handling tenant communications, managing inspections, and processing rental payments. They also help tenants understand and maintain their eligibility for the program, and ensure that all required paperwork and documentation are up to date.
