Qualifications:
1. Is a high school graduate or has a GED diploma.
2. Has a minimum of two years business/clerical experience within the past five years.
3. Has expert computer skills.
Duties:
1. Make accurate arithmetical computations.
2. Has knowledge of basic office/clerical methods and procedures; alphabetizing, indexing, spelling, filing, and proper use of English and Spanish with spelling and punctuation skills.
3. Uses office machines and equipment.
4. Is proficient in letter composition and is effective in organizing and reproducing all data.
5. Demonstrates responsibility when entrusted with confidential matters.
6. Maintains calendar, arranges appointments, observations, interviews, school activities, and meetings.
7. Opens, reviews, correspondence and channels the various communications to appropriate personnel under the supervision of the Director/Supervisor/Principal.
8. Types purchase orders and maintains records of expenditures.
9. Researches, organizes and prepares various reports as requested (enrollment, personnel, and/or state reports and analysis.
10. Prepares agenda and notifies appropriate personnel concerning meetings, conferences, etc.
11. Types various information and policy booklets, directives and communications.
12. Files and maintains various records, reports and correspondence, as well as maintains inventories of supplies, equipment and curriculum materials.
13. Prepares, distributes, and assists in the programs for staff in-service activities.
14. Assists in activities associated with finances
15. Performs other duties as may be assigned by his/her supervisor(s) under authority of the Board of Education.
