Machine Operator – Coil Processing (2nd Shift)

Location: Middlebury, IN
Department: Production
Shift: 2nd Shift
Reports To: Production Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our coil processing team. This position is responsible for the safe operation of coil processing equipment, maintaining quality standards, and achieving daily production goals. Job duties include setting up equipment, performing dimensional and quality checks, and accurately recording production.

Responsibilities
  • Set up equipment.
  • Flatten material using corrective levelers.
  • Accurately measure sheets for dimensional conformance and flatness.
  • Visually inspect material for surface quality and other nonconformities.
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies.
  • Accurately record production and document inspections.
Qualifications
  • Previous machine operating experience preferred.
  • Experience in coil processing, metal service center operations, or related manufacturing is a plus.
  • Ability to operate a forklift is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production documentation.
