Youth & Family Services Clinician

Location: Seward, AK Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt Supervisor: Youth & Family Services Team Leader

Position Summary

SeaView Community Services is seeking a Youth & Family Services Clinician to provide direct behavioral health services to youth and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, and family system challenges.

This role delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed care to strengthen family functioning, improve youth outcomes, and support long-term stability. The clinician works collaboratively with families, schools, and community partners within a team-based model of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments, treatment planning, and individual, family, and group therapy
  • Deliver evidence-based, family-centered interventions
  • Engage youth and caregivers to improve communication, parenting skills, and stability
  • Coordinate care with schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies
  • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MA, MSW, or PhD) in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Post-graduate clinical experience required
  • Ability to diagnose using DSM-5
  • Licensure: LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LMFT
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and screening requirements
