Job description

Box Truck Driver

Company Overview

M&M Recycling is a locally owned recycling company based in Atlanta, focused on providing reliable scrap and recycling services to our customers and community. We operate a professional fleet and take pride in safety, service, and doing things the right way.

As a family business with room for growth, we value drivers as long-term team members, not just seat fillers. Many of our employees build stable, rewarding careers with us.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Box Truck Driver with a CDL A or CDL B who wants steady work, a dedicated truck, and the chance to become a trusted part of a tight-knit operation. In this role, you will handle local routes, handle material safely, and help keep our recycling business running smoothly every day.

If you enjoy driving, working independently, and ending most days close to home while being recognized for your reliability, this is a strong career move with consistent hours and weekly pay.

What You'll Do
  • Operate an M&M Recycling box truck on daily local routes for pickups and deliveries to and from customer sites, mills, and scrap yards.
  • Load, secure, haul, and unload materials safely while following DOT and company safety procedures at all times.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections each day and ensure your assigned truck is kept in good working order.
  • Use a company-issued tablet to complete and submit accurate paperwork for each load and route.
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and service for your assigned truck and keep it clean, organized, and ready for the next day.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within the first 30–60 days, you consistently complete your assigned routes on time while maintaining a clean safety record and properly secured loads.
  • You learn and follow all M&M Recycling procedures, including tablet paperwork, route routines, and unloading processes at yards, scrap yards, and mills.
  • Customers, dispatch, and yard staff know you as a dependable, safe driver who communicates clearly and represents the company professionally.
  • You maintain your truck to company standards, with timely inspections, scheduled service, and minimal unplanned downtime.
What We're Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of CDL driving experience with solid references and a track record of safe driving.
  • Valid CDL A or CDL B license; box truck experience strongly preferred and experience in recycling, hauling, roll-off, or dump trucks is a plus.
  • Clean MVR with no points, no DUI, no multiple violations, and no super speeder offenses, and willingness to undergo a background check.
  • Reliable, safety-focused driver who can work Monday through Friday and alternating half-day Saturdays, with dependable transportation to and from work.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive weekly pay of $1,250–$1,500, based on experience.
  • Health insurance, paid time off, paid training, and employee discount.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Standard hours of operation are 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with alternating half-day Saturdays (two Saturdays per month).
How to Apply

If you meet the qualifications and are ready to build a long-term driving career with a stable, family-run company, apply today with your resume or work history and CDL details. We look forward to reviewing your application.
