A day in the life of a Merchandising Manager - Apparel at Vans looks a little like this.

The Merchandising Manager for Apparel will lead the execution of seasonal product strategies, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives. This role acts as a key consumer advocate, refining assortments based on market trends and insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product creation and go-to-market strategies while analyzing business performance to optimize sales and margins. Additionally, you will mentor Associate and Assistant Merchandisers to ensure smooth execution of merchandising deliverables.

  • Drive the execution of the seasonal product strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives

  • Act as a key consumer advocate, leveraging insights and market trends to refine assortments and influence product decisions.

  • Manage seasonal line plans, ensuring a balanced assortment that meets financial targets while maintaining brand consistency.

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Planning, Marketing, and Sales) to drive product creation, commercialization, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Analyze business performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and recommending in-season actions to drive sales and margin.

  • Mentor and guide Associate and Assistant Merchandisers, fostering skill development and ensuring smooth execution of merchandising deliverables.

What do you need to succeed?

Hiring Range:

$108,000.00 USD - $135,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, orcommissionpotential.
