Job description

Job Title: Clinic Director

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Thursday, Occasional Nights & Weekends.

Locations: Midtown James Madison-781 25 St. Ogden, UT 84401 and Midtown Hope Clinic inside Lantern House- 269 W 33rd St. Ogden, UT 84401

Annual Salary: $69,700

General Description:

The clinic director oversees day to day operations of the clinical site. Provides supervision, qualitative feedback, and training to staff that promotes a positive patient experience at Midtown. Maintains a safe and efficient environment of care. Coordinates performance improvement efforts related to clinic systems. Serves as a liaison between clinicians and support staff. Ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA, State and Federal requirements. Represents Midtown positively during interactions with vendors and community partners. Interacts with the senior leadership team on organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeps all staff agency-wide informed of clinic changes and provides two way communications between clinic and administrative team.
  • Provides measurable feedback following trial service periods and during annual performance evaluations.
  • Ensures that all staff receive on-going training that promotes compliance with FTCA, CLIA, PCMH and OSHA standards.
  • Addresses performance issues consistent with organizational policy in an equitable and timely manner, documents appropriately for personnel files.
  • Coordinate training and orientation to new hire staff. Ensures completion of 90-day new hire check-in process.
  • Maintains an appropriately staffed clinic through hiring and scheduling of support staff and providers.
  • Collaborates with the clinic director team to ensure coverage of staff and providers for all locations in the event of a shortage.
  • Addresses PTO and absence approval for all clinical staff to ensure appointment access and availability.
  • Maintains an inventory of medical, pharmaceutical and office supplies to facilitate ordering to ensure that necessary medical supplies are available.
  • Monitors progress and completion of routinely assigned staff duties.
  • Completes monthly deliverables by the designated timeline including facilities and emergency equipment checklists, assigned chart audits and quality control rates.
  • Coordinates completion of bi-annual emergency drills for assigned sites.
  • Ensures compliance with Vaccines for Children (VFC) program including training, inventory, ordering, storage and handling requirements.
  • Advocates on staff's behalf to ensure staff are represented accurately and fairly, maintains a high level of morale.
  • Conducts performance evaluations according to organization's timeline.
  • Works with HR to coach and counsel staff on performance issues.
  • Recognizes staff for excelling in their work, assigned tasks and overall performance.
  • Adheres to budget as it relates to supplies, FTE, and contractual expenses.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum of two years' supervision experience in a clinical setting required. Experience working with underserved populations preferred. 

Other skills: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written, ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, excellent customer service skills, proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
