Job description

Are you ready to be a part of passionate professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to our furry friends? Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency is hiring a full-time Veterinary Internist to join our outstanding team!

Who We Are

AVSE is a brand new 20,500-square-foot facility that houses ER, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Neurology and we are looking for a second Internist to join us and support our growing caseload! Together, we will strive to deliver advanced medical treatment to our patients, compassionate and transparent communication to their families, and a collaborative workspace where staff well-being matters. Under the direction of our highly experienced Medical Director, and with the back-end business support of Ethos Veterinary Health, AVSE has been a welcome addition to the patients and families of Alpharetta and the surrounding communities!

Our hospital includes: Four well-equipped surgical suites, dedicated canine and feline ICU wards, CUBEX mini units, dedicated isolation wards, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital Radiology, 10 exam rooms, EzyVet with Smart flow patient management system, and ample office and conference room space. Nestled in the heart of Alpharetta, we're at the center of a vibrant and welcoming community. Alpharetta is consistently ranked among Georgia's most desirable places to live. The area features safe, upscale, family-friendly neighborhoods, some of Georgia's top-rated public schools, and abundant outdoor recreation-including scenic parks, walking and biking trails, equestrian properties, and nature preserves.

Residents enjoy a thriving food, shopping, and entertainment scene with destinations like Avalon, Halcyon, Crabapple, and downtown Alpharetta, along with farmers' markets, seasonal festivals, live music, and arts events year-round. The region blends suburban comfort with modern conveniences and easy access to Atlanta-typically just 30-45 minutes away-while maintaining a more relaxed pace of life.

With proximity to major highways, a manageable commute, and access to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the Alpharetta area offers an ideal balance of professional opportunity, recreation, and everyday livability-making it a wonderful place to build both a career and a life.

Where You'll Come In

While working four days a week, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting difference as part of our growing team. Your skill, curiosity, and compassion will touch not only the patients you treat, but also the families who love them and the colleagues who learn from you. Whether you're shaping treatment plans, leading complex procedures, or mentoring teammates, you'll be at the heart of our mission to heal, to teach, and to inspire. Your impact will extend far beyond the hospital - creating brighter futures for pets, their families, and our hospital community.

We're Excited About You Because

We're excited about you because you're not only a knowledgeable internist, but also a teammate, mentor, and advocate for compassionate care. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy tackling challenging cases, and value the relationships built with clients and colleagues alike. Most importantly, you bring a passion for advancing patient care and a desire to grow both personally and professionally within a supportive hospital community.
