Job description

Description Are you passionate about health, fitness, and serving the community. We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Driver to operate our Get Fit Mobile unit. A wellness-on-wheels initiative that brings fitness programs, wellness education, and fun to local parks, playgrounds, and community events across Prince George's County.

The position is part-time, with varying hours a week, with some evenings, weekends and holidays required. Examples of Important Duties Safely drive and operate the Get Fit Mobile vehicle to various scheduled locations

Load, unload, and assist with setting up fitness equipment and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the mobile unit. Collaborate with the health & wellness team to ensure smooth program execution.

Greet participants with a positive attitude and always represent the department professionally. Report mileage, maintenance needs, and incidents as required. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current/valid Driver's license.

Must be at least 21 years of age. Experience driving, Semi-Trucks, trailers, or other large vehicles preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through phone, text, and email. Comfortable driving a large van or box truck-style vehicle.

Ability to lift 30+ pounds and assist with equipment setup. Punctual, dependable, and proactive. Experience working with community or recreation programs is a plus.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred. Supplemental Information May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing. This is a Seasonal/part-time position; no benefits are offered.
