Job Title: Operations/Technical Supervisor

Department: Haunted Camelbeach Attractions

Reports to: Haunted Attraction Manager

Lead the team behind the screams! Reporting to the Haunts Manager, the Operations/Technical Supervisor will support the daily operation of Camelback Resort's Haunted Camelbeach attraction by managing technical systems, supervising staff, ensuring guest and employee safety, and delivering a high-quality haunted experience every night. This supervisory role combines operational oversight with technical expertise to ensure the attraction runs efficiently, safely, and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily operation of the haunted attraction, ensuring a safe, efficient, and immersive guest experience.
  • Lead and support Scare Actors, Stage Crew, Technical Associates, and Makeup Artists throughout each shift.
  • Coordinate opening, operating, and closing procedures for all attraction areas.
  • Oversee lighting, audio, fog, special effects, and show control systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot technical, operational, and staffing issues in real time.
  • Conduct daily inspections of sets, props, technical equipment, and attraction pathways.
  • Ensure all safety procedures, emergency action plans, and evacuation protocols are followed.
  • Schedule breaks and monitor staffing levels throughout operations.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate seasonal team members.
  • Maintain operational logs and communicate maintenance needs with appropriate departments.
  • Work closely with Security, Maintenance, EMS, and Resort Operations to ensure smooth nightly operations.
  • Assist with installation, testing, maintenance, and removal of seasonal attraction equipment.
  • Monitor guest flow and make operational adjustments to maximize throughput while maintaining the guest experience.
  • Respond professionally to guest concerns and employee incidents.
  • Comply with all Company and departmental safety standards.
  • Comply with Company and departmental dress code.
  • Adhere to the Customer Service Standards of Camelback Resort as well as all Company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to seasonal and daily Service Guidelines and Checklists.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the Camelback Resort team.
  • Participate in operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Actively support all Company initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience in attractions, entertainment, theater, haunted attractions, or live events preferred; ability to work collaboratively, guide peers, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead others, strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience operating or troubleshooting lighting, audio, theatrical effects, or technical systems preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and lead a diverse seasonal team.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout a shift.
  • Weekend, evening, holiday, and late-night availability are required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
  • Must be able to speak and read the English language; additional languages are a plus.
