Job description

Forward Financing is a financial technology company based in Boston, Massachusetts with team members throughout the United States, Dominican Republic, and Canada. The company is on a mission to unlock the capital that fuels small businesses across America. Recognized as a Best Place to Work by Built In Boston and certified as a Great Place To Work®, Forward is investing in its employees, technology, and customer experience - with long-term success in mind every step of the way.
We're looking for a driven and persuasive Sr Sales Development Representative (Sr SDR) to own one of the most important parts of our revenue funnel: prospecting previously approved customers who did not move forward, and converting partially completed financing applications into full submissions. These are a blend of warm and cold leads - SMB owners who've started the process but haven't crossed the finish line or reviewed a prior offer and didn't move forward. Your job is to pick up the conversation, uncover what's holding them back, build urgency, and help them complete their revenue-based financing application.
This role involves engaging in fast-paced conversations, addressing objections in real-time, and consistently driving measurable results through lead conversion. We are looking for an individual who is wanting to kick-start their career in a highly transactional, fast-paced sales environment.
In this role you will:
  • Speak with business owners to assess goals, address questions, and present funding options as a solution to their business needs
  • Master a high-volume auto-dialer environment, maintaining the stamina to deliver high-quality pitches on the 100th call of the day as effectively as the 1st.
  • Educate prospects on our product, the submission process, and the value proposition of our funding
  • Drive urgency and clear call-to-actions to maximize submission volume
  • Track lead activity, status, and outcomes in Salesforce
  • Collaborate closely with the Manager, Direct Sales, Marketing, and Product for funnel improvements

Your success is measured by hard data. We expect the following:
  • Consistent daily attainment of outbound call volume, talk time, and multi-channel touchpoints (SMS/Email).
  • Monthly and quarterly revenue/KPI targets are treated as a floor, not a ceiling.
  • Consistent Pipeline and Funnel Management - maintaining frequency and activity on potential leads and keeping all notes up to date in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Ability to adapt in an evolving environment and team, and a willingness to shift focus on the fly

Role Requirements:
  • 1+ years in a sales, lead generation, or customer engagement role
  • Relentless follow-up game
  • Great phone presence, fast typing, strong written communication
  • Comfortable using tools like Dialpad, Salesforce, and Tableau
  • Metric-driven mindset
  • Able to juggle multiple conversations, stay organized, and follow internal processes and guidelines

Preferred:
  • Background in application-based conversion flows (funding, insurance, etc.)
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Compensation:
Annual Targeted Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 USD
Monthly Variable: You have the potential to earn an additional $2,000 USD per month in variable compensation. The final payout of variable compensation is determined by achievement of performance metrics.
At Forward Financing, we're committed to fair and transparent compensation. We believe in providing a compensation package that recognizes your skills, experience, and the unique value you bring to our team. We take a market-based approach to pay, regularly reviewing benchmark data to ensure our compensation remains competitive, equitable, and aligned with our performance-driven culture.
Final offers are determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, specific skills, and internal equity. This approach ensures that our compensation is competitive and equitable. Your recruiter will provide specific details on the expected base and variable earnings as it pertains to this specific role.
Total Rewards:
Additionally, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, commuter benefits, a flexible time-off policy, paid parental leave, 401k match for US employees, wellness reimbursement, volunteering days, annual professional development budget, and charitable donation match.
Forward is proud to be a remote-first company, keeping workplace flexibility a top priority for our employees. As a business, we are focused on impact; we are more concerned with your contributions to the success of the company than where you get your work done. To help facilitate in-person collaboration, employees are welcome to work from one of our premiere office locations.
When we aren't collaborating to drive business and support our customers, we're finding virtual and in-person ways to get to know our colleagues, celebrate team wins, and have fun together!
Our Culture: The Forward Compass
The Forward Compass is the standard we hold for ourselves and one another-guiding how we lead, collaborate, and show up every day to move in the same direction.
  • Back the Builders: We are wired to fuel customer progress, not just provide support.
  • Rooted in People: We create an environment that balances deep connection with the extreme ownership and honesty required to reach our highest potential.
  • Flying V: We move through coordinated effort with speed and urgency to achieve what no individual could do alone.
  • Always Forward, Never Finished: We pursue growth with a relentless drive that keeps us ahead of the competition.
