Position Summary
Reporting to the Sanitation Lead, the seasonal sanitation technician will be responsible for daily and weekly sanitation tasks and activities within the department. The sanitation technician should act proactively to ensure smooth and effective operations and report issues to leadership immediately.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, read and interpret safety instructions and procedure manuals. The ideal candidate must be willing to walk and stand up to 10 hours per day, occasionally push, pull, and lift up-to 50 pounds. Must be dependable, a team player and have good communication skills and wear PPE specific to position.
Position Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize processing/packaging equipment, floors, walls, ceiling and work areas.
• Handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, sanitizers and chemical concentrations.
• Disassemble, sanitize and reassemble food processing equipment.
• Dispose of waste inside and outside plant
• Sweep, squeegee and mop floors
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
