Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in furthering their career in the consumer products licensing business while working with some of the most recognized brands in video games. In this role, you will support SEGA's licensing business and be part of the award-winning SEGA Consumer Products team, helping bring SEGA's portfolio of IP to life through consumer products.
Reporting to the Licensing Director, the Licensing Coordinator, Category serves as a key support resource for the Hardlines and Softlines Category Management team. This role is responsible for coordinating administrative and operational activities, including data entry, data maintenance, and the preparation of materials for sales presentations, meetings, and tradeshows.
The Licensing Coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, developing strong professional relationships while supporting the day-to-day needs of the licensing business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for entering all Hardlines and Softlines agreements and business users into SEGA's Data Rights Management system (DRM) in a timely manner and working with the Licensing Operations Manager as required.
  • In partnership with the Hardlines and Softlines Category Management team, enter data into the Legal portal in a timely manner, progressing Agreements, Amendments, NDAs, and other documents through completion.
  • Assist business managers with obtaining updated forecasts and placement reports from Hardlines and Softlines licensees on a quarterly basis, or as requested by management, and maintain these records on the internal server for reference.
  • Interface directly with Hardlines and Softlines licensees to assist with Manufacture Agreements, Authorization Letters, Customs Recordals, and other business documentation as needed.
  • Send invoices to Hardlines and Softlines licensees on a weekly basis, ensuring accurate tracking, follow-up, and escalation as needed to resolve outstanding invoices.
  • Support ad-hoc business needs including data entry, PO requests, data retrieval, sample requests, and shipping coordination.
  • Work closely with the Hardlines and Softlines Licensing team to coordinate projects and support competing deadlines to help ensure business needs are met.
  • Update and maintain business materials, including Licensee Lists, Brand Decks, Priority Lists and One-Sheets.
  • Create, organize and maintain a library of product beauty shots for licensees for archival and marketing purposes.
  • Support Marketing, PR, and Social Media initiatives by fulfilling sample/seeding requests, assisting with seasonal gift guides, and providing product images and metadata.
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of the Quarterly Licensing Newsletter.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams including Licensing, Creative, Legal, Overseas, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams.
  • Other responsibilities are performed as assigned or needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork. In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Typically has 2+ years of experience in consumer products licensing or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of consumer products licensing.
  • Basic understanding of retail landscape and timelines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with execeptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable participating in meetings and supporting assigned projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve routine issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Bonus:
  • 2+ years of experience working directly for a major Licensor
