Job Title : Residential Security Agent

Location: Jupiter, FL

Job Type: Full time, with full benefits
Compensation: $96,595 minimum annual compensation

FLSA: Non-exempt

Job Summary :

The Residential Security Team Agent is tasked with numerous functions by providing support to a protective security detail in Jupiter, FL. This detail operates in a dynamic, multi-faceted, and fast-paced environment.

This position requires a strong medical background (higher than TCCC level—preferably EMT or medic experience), as well as the ability to swim and operate safely in both indoor and outdoor environments. Candidates with an intelligence background are strongly preferred.

This position requires the successful completion of a physical fitness test within the first 90 days of employment.

The ideal candidate will have a good personality and strong character, demonstrating coachability, professionalism, and a positive attitude. While prior Residential Security Team (RST) experience is beneficial, it is not required—we welcome motivated individuals coming straight out of the military who can learn quickly and adapt to a structured but team-oriented environment.

This is a 24/7 detail, requiring availability for days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Duties :

Duties for this detail include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals and their properties.

  • Maintain a knowledge of baseline principal, property, and neighborhood activities.

  • Monitor property and area activities and conditions via closed-circuit television camera system and physical perimeter checks.

  • Monitor traditional and social media for potential threats.

  • Controlling access to properties and maintenance of security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors.

  • Drive or tail principal/s, family member, guests.

  • Conduct advance work as needed.

  • Screen and track mail and deliveries.

  • Monitor the following:

  • Weather and natural disasters

  • Traffic

  • Public safety incidents and trends

  • Neighborhood watch programs

  • Local and national current events

  • Coordinate with site staff to accomplish common tasks.

  • Complete daily household tasks and maintenance as requested by principals.

  • Ensures 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeep.

  • Operate within parameters established by standard operating procedures and applicable laws.

  • Coordinate with and support executive protection element of the team.

  • Opportunities for driving and special off-site assignments/details.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in use and proper maintenance for all equipment (i.e., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.).

  • Potential local travel approximately 5% -10% of the time to other RST sites or principal destinations.

  • Must be flexible and open to working overtime shifts whether they are night or day shift, coming in early and staying late if needed.

  • Must possess the ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to stay vigilant sitting in a vehicle or security office for extended periods of time.

  • Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel & Power Point).

  • Must keep a professional appearance, have good personal hygiene.

  • Must be responsive via phone call, text and email as needed to support the team.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to be personable, successfully interact with clients, superiors, peers, vendors and neighbors.

  • EMT, combat medic, or advanced medical certification strongly preferred.

  • Ability to swim required.

  • Specific training related to this detail will be provided upon hire.

Position Certificates and Licenses :

  • Current Florida Guard Card (Class D license).

  • Current Florida Class G license.

  • A Valid United States Driver's License.

  • CPR/First Aid/AED certified for Adults, Children, and Infants.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.

  • Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.

  • Prolonged periods sitting of 5+ hours at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.

  • Prolonged periods of standing on your feet without a break 4-5+ hours.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

  • Must be able to lift, drag a human up to 200lbs or more, if necessary.

  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, crawl.

  • Being able to respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, evacuations.

  • Must be capable of operating in aquatic or coastal environments as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Associates or bachelor's degree.

  • Certification from a recognized EP school (this can be supplemented with 2+ years of relevant industry experience).

  • Graduation from a certified driving school is also preferable, but this too can be supplemented based on experience.

  • Military or law enforcement experience strongly preferred; recent veterans encouraged to apply.

  • Intelligence or protective intelligence background is a plus.

  • Proficient in the use of social media collection tools in support of protective intelligence.

  • Prior RST experience a plus, though not required.

  • Training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance/surveillance detection, and covert protection experience.

  • Active First Responder, Paramedic or EMT certifications a plus.

  • Regularly active in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, ocean sports, etc.

Detail Structure :

  • Full-time position on a 24/7 detail working the following:

  • 12-hour shifts

  • Weekends/Holidays/OT as needed

  • Domestic/local travel (if desired by the principal/s)
