Capital Protection Group, Inc. (CPG) is a premier private security company dedicated to providing professional security services to clients across California. We are seeking reliable and professional Seasonal Security Guards to join our team for the upcoming busy season. This temporary role offers potential transition to an ongoing per diem position for employees in good standing.
Job Summary
As a Seasonal Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to incidents in accordance with company protocols and California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional security services at designated locations.
  • Monitor premises and conduct routine patrols to prevent security breaches.
  • Enforce site-specific security policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to security threats, alarms, and emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, visitors, and law enforcement if necessary.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
  • Conduct foot and vehicle patrols in various weather conditions, ensuring site security at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all California BSIS regulations and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Must have active BSIS Guard Card (and/or equivalent certification as required by local regulations).
    • Must have valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
    • Must be 21+ to accommodate client contracts.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous security experience preferred but not required.
    • Dependable transportation, own vehicle.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
    • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including days/nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Duty belt & tactical pants, required. Vest, preferred.
    • Consistent availability.
Schedule & Commitment
  • Seasonal position lasting the Spring - Summer months, with potential for ongoing per diem contract eligibility post-season based on performance.
  • Must be available for a minimum of two (2) shifts per month as needed.
  • Employees are expected to respond to shift offers within 12 hours of notification.
