Job description

$16.29 - $21.75 PER HOUR
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to ensure that the right product is in the right place at the right time to help maximize sales and enhance our customers shopping experience. This person will be responsible for new stores, handling remodels, re-merchandising, inserting new items, removing discontinued items and merchandising the schematics in the most cost-effective manner. This person needs to drive innovation while providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follows established company policies and procedures
  • Assists with setting up layouts for new stores
  • Implements breakouts for broker request for setting schematics
  • Implements Map out stores with construction team for shelving and fixture placement
  • Follows company plan for implementing changes needed in the store
  • Utilize folders for each schematic being changed
  • Assists in planning for holiday sales, seasonal items and sets including steam cleans and A-frames
  • Reads and follows communication regarding store resets
  • Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
  • Sets a professional and positive example to others
  • Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation and productivity are maintained
  • Ensures that the stores have the items that they need for resets and remodels
  • Helps contribute to the success of Harmons as a whole

MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
A high school diploma or GED required, and some college education are preferred; five years of grocery or related retail merchandising experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Must have an expert knowledge of and enjoy working with and handling grocery products
  • Ability to read a store schematic and be attentive to detail
  • Basic math and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of non-perishable/perishable product rotation, merchandising and schematic building preferred
  • Ability to view the changing dynamics of the grocery industry
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently
  • communicate with and manage diverse groups of people
  • Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict
  • Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one's own success as well as the success of your team
  • Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques
  • Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons' mission and commitment to working collaboratively

Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to cold, hot, slippery and wet conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. Also requires standing, walking and bending throughout the entire work day and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds from location to location.
