Logan Health Medical Center, located in scenic Kalispell, MT, is looking for an experienced Seasonal RN to join their Float Pool Team!

This Seasonal Float Pool position gives you the opportunity to make an impact supporting our Acute Care (ACU) and Surgical Floor patients!

Seasonal Position Details:

  • Full-Time work schedule required for no less than 13-week period

  • 18% Premium (Seasonal Float Pool RN Premium)

  • Additional shift differential pay

  • Fitness Center membership discount

  • 401(k) Eligible

  • $1,000 Seasonal Bonus paid after 30 days in position

  • $1,000 Seasonal Bonus paid after 60 days in position

  • $2,000 Seasonal Completion Bonus

  • No Health Benefits are offered

Seasonal Minimum Qualification:

  • Seasonal RN must have 2 years applicable nursing experience to the unit assigned

Provides professional nursing care to patients on each assigned unit, which will vary each day. This care shall be rendered, in a safe and effective manner that is consistent with policies and procedures, and as recognized by the Montana Board of Nursing and the facility in which the shift is conducted.

Qualifications:

  • Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.

  • Must be adaptable to various inpatient settings, which are determined based on skills, experience, and/or certifications.

  • Experience, competency, and certifications as required by units qualified to float.

  • Applicable certifications required:

    • BLS, ACLS, TNCC & PALS preferred or must successfully obtain within twelve (12) months of hire.

  • BSN degree preferred. National Certification in emergency care and/or critical care (CEN, CCRN, or PCCN) preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Exhibits a commitment to professionalism, civility, teamwork, and customer service while undertaking all tasks and interactions with others.

  • Exhibits knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the RN's specific job duties, patient care population being served, and safety.

  • Operates and maintains equipment to departmental standards and exhibits an understanding of the processes for removing a malfunctioning piece of equipment from service.

  • Maintains age-appropriate nursing standards of care and executes appropriate physician orders.

  • While executing patient care, exhibits knowledge of and maintains the patient's right to diversity, privacy, and confidentiality.

  • Performs a comprehensive assessment of patient on admission and at regular intervals appropriate for the condition of the patient and/or as ordered by the physician/provider.

  • Performs administration of medications, treatments, physician/provider specified care, and intravenous therapy to patients, in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.

  • Performs reassessment of patient(s) to monitor status, identify changes in vital signs, lab work or status, implement interventions as ordered or defined, and to evaluate patient responses to treatment or therapy in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.

  • Communicates all appropriate and critical changes in the patient's condition, status and findings to the appropriate physician/provider in a timely manner or as defined by policies and procedures and/or physician/provider orders. Communication between members of the healthcare team is conducted using SBAR format.

  • Documents all clinical findings and required regulatory mandates in the chart in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures or as defined by regulatory requirements.

  • Completes and demonstrates competency/currency in required yearly unit competencies and educational requirements. Competencies may be required in assigned facilities annually. Complies with and maintains regulatory compliance requirements as defined for the nursing care on the unit/facility and according to organizational standards.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Shift:

Night Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: Full-time hours, 36 hours per week (12-hour night shifts). Must be available to work - Day or Night Shift. Shifts may primarily be night shift.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
