Givens Aldersgate is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to support our culinary leadership team. In this role you will craft nutritious, flavorful, and high-quality meals that enhance the lives of our residents. The schedule for this role will rotate between 9 am -6 pm and 10:30 am to close along with rotating weekends.
What you'll do:
  • Assist in the development and execution of seasonal health-conscious menus
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of meals served
  • Maintain a warm, welcoming dining atmosphere that reflects restaurant-style hospitality
  • Engage with residents to understand their preferences and personalized dining experience
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with safety sanitation standards
  • Maintain inventory and work with vendors to source high quality ingredients
  • Maintain adherence to senior living dietary regulations and special meal accommodations
  • Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with Dietitians and healthcare professions to accommodate residents' nutritional needs

What you'll need:
  • Culinary Degree or extensive professional kitchen experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of wellness-focused cuisine and specialized dietary accommodations

Compensation: $58,000 - $61,000 (Annually)
