Job description

The Service Support Assistant (Housekeeper/Painter/Groundskeeper/Porter) maintains property cleanliness, curb appeal, and readiness of common areas, exterior grounds, and vacant units to support resident satisfaction and leasing success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Clean offices, restrooms, amenities, laundry rooms, common areas, models, and vacant units
  • Remove trash and debris from grounds, breezeways, parking lots, and dumpster areas
  • Maintain landscaping appearance, flowerbeds, grass areas, and exterior presentation
  • Assist with pool upkeep, snow removal, or seasonal property tasks as needed
  • Report maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor
  • Follow company safety procedures and appearance standards
  • Other tasks designated by supervisor

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to use cleaning agents and equipment safety
  • Strong dependability, teamwork, and service mindset

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Multifamily porter, janitorial, housekeeping, or grounds experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bilingual communication ability where useful for property

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Following written/oral instructions, such as work orders
  • Reporting work completion to supervisors

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
  • Basic proficiency in digital work order systems (e.g., Yardi, SmartRent) to close out completed tasks.
  • Basic smartphone skills for taking photos for turnovers and inspections

PHYSICAL/WORK REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequent walking, lifting, standing, stair climbing, and outdoor work
  • Emergency/weekend support may be required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Paid Time Off: Employee will accrue 5.23 hours of paid time off per pay period for a total of 17 days per year.

  • Following six (6) months of employment at the Company, you will be eligible per birth, adoption or placement of a child for four (4) weeks of paid parental leave as the primary caregiver to the child or two weeks of paid parental leave as the secondary caregiver to the child. Following two years of employment at the Company, you will be eligible for twelve weeks of paid parental leave per birth, adoption, or placement of a child if you are the primary caregiver of the child.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $5,000 per year of pre-approved tuition expenses will be reimbursed upon submission of approved documentation. Repayment obligations may apply if employment terminates prior to 24 months.
