Reporting to the Social Media Manager and Creative Producer, the Social Media Content Creator is responsible for supporting content creation for Powder Mountain and Powder Haven social media channels. This role works closely with the Social Media Manager and Creative Producer, splitting its focus between photo/video production and social media coordination during the winter season. This person will support the content team to produce, edit, and share content on the Powder Mountain and Powder Haven social media channels.Schedule has seasonal adjustments to the working days and location:Pre-Season (Oct 1 – Nov): Monday - Friday, at least 3 days on-site at Powder HQ in Eden, UTIn-Season (Dec – April): days vary, at least 4 days on-site at Powder Mountain ResorJob Title: Social Media Content CreatorDepartment: MarketingStatus: Seasonal FTReporting To: Social Media Manager & Creative ProducerKey Responsibilities:Content ProductionProduce platform-specific formats including short-form video, carousels, static posts, and caption copyCoordinate with the Creative Producer & Social Media Manager on content planning for the seasonCollaborate with internal teams, freelancers, and production partners to execute high-quality content captureAssist and work closely with directors and photographers on shoots to support high-quality storytellingSocial Media CoordinationAssist in the coordination and execution of social support for events, partnerships, and real-time coverage opportunitiesProvide admin and on-site support for the Influencer and Athlete Programs to facilitate and track content deliverables and collaborationWrite social-first copy across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, ensuring content is clear, timely, audience-aware, aligned to the Powder voice(s) and optimized for each platformBased on the marketing plan outlined for the season, brainstorm social-first and platform-specific concepts and execute (from concept to “carousel”)Coordinate with all other internal departments and staff for storytelling opportunitiesMaintain Powder brand voice, visual identity, and goals in all contentStay ahead of cultural and digital trends, identifying opportunities to align the brand with relevant moments and conversationsMonitor social platforms, engage and moderate when necessaryIdentify emerging trends, questions, or conversation starters from the community to inform content planningRequirements and/or Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred but not required2-4 years of experience in content production (photo/video capture and editing) for social media, including scripting short-form video (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) with a focus on strong storytelling and clarityProficiency with social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) and community moderationProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects), Capcut, Figma, Frame.io, NotionStrong writing skills, with an engaging style and keen eye for grammar, punctuation and toneAbility to capture and edit content that adheres to briefs and brand guidelinesHighly organized and detail-orientated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesSelf-starter who sees project through from start to finish, with a positive, adaptable attitudeAdvanced skiing and/or snowboarding abilityExperience in the outdoor or ski industry is a plus but not requiredPhysical Requirements- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:Full range of body movementsReach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (40+lbs)Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twistingWalk on even/uneven/slippery terrainClimb/descend stairsWorking Environment:Expected to be able to work in a multitude of outside mountain conditions.
