Job description

Job Summary:
NuScale Power is a company that focuses on innovative energy solutions, and they are seeking an IT Executive Support Engineer 4 to support their Executive team. This role involves providing technical assistance, managing IT-related equipment, and leading projects to ensure effective support for company executives.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance, serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, and formally train executives in the use and operation of their computer
• Perform hardware maintenance; coordinates repairs and installation of equipment with vendors as necessary
• Tests, provides feedback, and implements new software and hardware needed to satisfy business requirements
• Tracks program area problems and monitors system for efficiency and effectiveness; recommends and implements procedural changes in assigned area; performs systems analysis
• Installs, upgrades, and configures systems in both on-premises and cloud configurations as appropriate
• Leads assigned projects and coordinates with other parties as needed to drive completion
• Coordinates support activities within the group. This may include server, networking, and security related activities
• Track asset utilization and assist in the management of the hardware and software asset lifecycle
• Guide and mentor team members to support skill development
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• A bachelor degree and 6+ years of full-time progressive IT experience.
• Associates degree and 8+ years of full-time progressive IT experience.
• 10+ years of progressive full-time IT experience in lieu of formal degree.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of full-time working experience is required.
• Significant experience supporting executive level and C-Suite staff.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally using common forms of transportation.
• Knowledge of Windows client support: Windows 11/10.
• Knowledge of Apple client support: iOS, iPad OS, and Mac OS X.
• Experience supporting layer 2 & 3 networking.
• Device management & deployment in an enterprise environment.
• Experience implementing complex IT systems.
• Experience supporting Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
• Active Directory user administration (both on premises and Entra ID).
• Exchange user administration in a hybrid environment.
• Understanding of User Access Control.
• Understanding of basic security principles.
• Knowledge of Windows server 2012 R2/2016/2019/2022.
• Knowledge of IP telephony - adds/moves/changes/conference systems/media bridge.
• Setup and support of large-scale A/V conferences, meetings, and/or events.
• Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL best practices.
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of common business compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of endpoint backup products.
• Knowledge of device management & asset inventory.
• Knowledge of software lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting Linux/Unix products.
