Job description

Location: Otsego, MN
Compensation: $80,000 - $125,000
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Description
Our client is seeking a Project Manager. The organization is a regional site development contractor delivering subsurface utility installations and related civil scopes. We’re looking for a professional who takes ownership of results, communicates clearly, and collaborates effectively with field and office teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop estimates and manage delivery for underground utility scopes (potable water, sanitary conveyance, and stormwater systems).
  • Execute project controls and cost management: daily/weekly cost reviews, verification of field reporting, change order development/administration, monthly forecasting, and invoice approvals.
  • Coordinate communications among field operations, internal support functions, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership.
  • Maintain accurate estimating files and project records.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and support preconstruction planning.
  • Lead project execution activities: presentations/meetings, progress tracking, coordination of field resources, client/vendor correspondence, and cashflow monitoring (billings/collections).
  • Mentor junior staff and seasonal interns; provide direction for takeoffs and related support work.
  • Support relationship development with existing partners and assist with opportunities for new work.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in underground utilities or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred, not required).
