ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.
This position is responsible to safely help administer awarded project contracts. This includes analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation, and planning, directing and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure projects are safely completed on time and within budget. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members. Monitor and evaluates daily production and plans/schedules work according to daily evaluations. May perform other duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)
  1. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Reviews project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  2. Establishes work plan and staffing and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Provide market leading customer service and technical expertise.
  3. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written); Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  4. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists. Consults with clients, vendors, and other individuals to provide cost factors and formulates estimates.
  5. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  6. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  7. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Strong organizational skills.
  3. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  4. Able to work independently and under time constraints.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
  1. BS degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience. Hands-on approach to work required with results orientation. Intern and/or Co-op experience preferred.
  2. Fluency in Microsoft Office.
  3. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
  4. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)
  1. Experience in HCSS
