Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist the Store Manager with supervision of all operations in Grocery and Sub-Departments (Bakery/Deli, Produce, and Meat); Assist in emphasis on customer relations and dealing with employees' concerns; Assume Store Manager functions in the absence of the Store Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be willing to relocate for promotion.
  • An individual must have previous work experience as a P.I.C. and/or 3rd Person.
  • Include two or three professional references, for example store manager, district manager or previous employers.
  • Must pass the required background check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • A commitment to high standards
  • Use of fingers, hands, and arms
  • Use a 10-key calculator.
  • Use basic math and calculate retail pricing.
  • Establishes relationships with customers and suppliers and conducts company business in an ethical manner.
  • Conscious of job principles, facts, procedures, and policy
  • Effectively direct and control work in area of responsibility
  • The ability to support and encourage employees and help them with their job.
  • Has leadership capabilities.
  • To have the ability to train employees in their jobs.
  • To understand the duties of all departments, such as meat, Bakery/Deli and Produce department.
  • Establishes good communication with Store Manager and other PIC's.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to control expenses.
  • Commitment to follow up, including observing, monitoring and evaluating.
  • Organize and coordinate store activities.
  • Perform all duties assigned by our company policies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Corporate databases (Item Master, Movement)
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In addition to the essential functions, the following requirements must be met:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described below are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions for this job:
  • Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours a day
  • Use hands, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate power equipment.
  • Lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis for 50 ft, up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis for 10 ft, and up to 75 pounds for 10 ft occasionally.
  • Push up to 100 pounds for 50 feet.
  • Pull up to 50 pounds for 50 feet.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • May be required to use ladders and/or stairs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
An employee may encounter certain work environmental characteristics while performing the essential functions of this position. They may include but are not limited to:
  • Extreme cold
  • Wet or humid conditions
  • Slippery surfaces
  • Confined spaces
  • High noise level

MISCELLANEOUS:
