Seasonal Full-Time | September-November | $25-$30/Hour
Help Bring the Boating Season to a Safe Finish
When most people are putting their boats away for the winter, our busiest season begins.
River Valley Marine is hiring experienced Boat Handlers / Haulers to support our Fall Haul-Out and Winter Storage season. You'll safely transport premium boats from Lake Minnetonka marinas, private docks, and customer homes to our service center for winterization, maintenance, and indoor storage.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience hauling boats, operating trucks and trailers, or working in a marina or marine dealership. If you take pride in handling valuable equipment with care and enjoy working around boats every day, we'd love to meet you.
Whether you've worked as a Boat Hauler, Boat Handler, Marine Transport Driver, Marina Operator, Yard Technician, CDL Driver, Heavy Equipment Operator, Delivery Driver, or Marine Service Professional, your experience could be a great fit.
Pay & Schedule

  • $25-$30/hour, based on experience
  • Seasonal Full-Time: September-November
  • Monday-Friday
  • 40-50+ hours per week
  • Overtime available during peak haul-out season

What You'll Do
  • Safely transport boats between marinas, private residences, launches, and our Long Lake service center
  • Retrieve boats from the water during fall haul-out season
  • Load, unload, trailer, and position boats for winter storage
  • Operate pickup trucks, one-ton trucks, trailers, forklifts, and yard equipment
  • Secure boats for transport using proper procedures and safety practices
  • Complete pre-trip inspections and transport documentation
  • Assist with staging boats for winterization, storage, and customer pickup
  • Represent River Valley Marine professionally while working at customer homes, docks, and marinas
What We're Looking For
  • Experience towing trailers, boats, RVs, or heavy equipment
  • Boat handling, marina, marine dealership, or transportation experience preferred
  • Comfortable operating bumper-pull, gooseneck, or fifth-wheel trailers
  • CDL is a plus, but not required
  • Clean driving record and strong safety mindset
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently
  • Able to work outdoors in changing fall weather
  • Valid driver's license required
