Overview
This role leads the creative development of Consumer Products Group (CPG) packaging and product design across the US and Canada, ensuring brand consistency, market relevance, and high-quality standards. It serves as a key liaison between internal creative teams, franchise partners, and external licensees, guiding innovation and strategic alignment across all CPG packaging platforms. The position involves trend analysis, creative marketing support, and forward-thinking identification of white space opportunities, while maintaining the integrity of Paramount's IPs and supporting global creative collaboration.
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to
  • Manage day-to-day creative correspondence with over 100 licensees across US and Canada, including project kick-offs, design direction, and approvals.
  • Ensure all submissions adhere to Paramount's product development approval process and brand standards, maintaining continuity across packaging platforms.
  • Lead creative kick-offs with licensees, ensuring proper use of brand guides and providing tailored visual and written direction.
  • Attend trade shows and conduct seasonal store checks to identify market trends and white space opportunities, sharing insights internally and with partners.
  • Create mock-ups and pitch materials as needed to support evolving business needs and product launches.
  • Lead marketing creative kick-offs with franchise and business teams, offering strategic guidance on marketing best practices and creative approaches.
  • Review and approve marketing materials (e.g., web banners, social media, in-store displays) in Creative+ prior to launch.
  • Collaborate with outside studios to ensure adherence to brand standards, acting as a creative liaison between studios and licensees.
  • Routinely meet with the CPG business team to align on project timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Develop presentation and guide materials to support internal and external creative initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Approximately 5-10 years' experience in design, with solid creative abilities and aesthetic judgment.
Additional Qualifications
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Deep knowledge in typography, layout, packaging design, and color theory.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Robust organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience designing for both children's and adult markets
  • Skilled in licensing industry practices, including contracts and agreements
  • Proven ability to develop original, trend-relevant artwork and make strategic creative decisions
  • Solid presentation skills, adjustable for diverse audiences and multilingual contexts
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid decision-maker with a forward-thinking, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Flexible and self-motivated, able to work individually or within a team.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $74,400.00 - 111,600.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
