Job Title: Yard & Tank LaborerOverview: Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for a Yard and Tank Laborer to fill a seasonal opening.Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Facility maintenanceResponsible for tanks/facility Grounds keepingLoad and unload trucksBasic troubleshootingRequired Skills/Abilities:Reliable transportation to and from workStrong work ethicPhysical Organization and time management Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessaryWorking knowledge of general hand tools and power toolsPassing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conductedConsent to a DMV license evaluationMust have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsObserve and comply with necessary PPE requirementsMust be able to work in a noisy area with many odors presentBending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:Ability to read and understand SDS Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) High school diploma or GED - a two year technical degree is preferredBasic math skillsPosition is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame.
