Job description

A warm and welcoming family in the Raleigh area is seeking a proactive, dependable, and engaging Nanny Manager / Personal Assistant to help support their busy household. This role is ideal for someone who is truly a “jack-of-all-trades” and enjoys balancing childcare support, household management, errands, meal prep, pet care, and light housekeeping responsibilities. The family homeschools their three children from approximately 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, so they are looking for someone who can help the children stay on task, accountable, and emotionally supported while also helping the home run smoothly throughout the day. Responsibilities may include driving the children to activities, preparing lunches and simple dinners, resetting common areas, light housekeeping, laundry for linens and bedding, organizing seasonal items, helping coordinate vendors, running errands, assisting with dogs, and occasionally staying at the home while the family travels.

The ideal candidate is warm, calm, emotionally steady, proactive, and highly reliable. The family would love someone who does not need to be constantly directed, communicates honestly and transparently, and naturally steps in where needed. They are open-minded and welcoming to all backgrounds and would especially love someone bilingual or from another country who could introduce the children to another language or culture. Their three children are creative, intelligent, and active, and the family is looking for someone who can create structure while still being kind, engaging, and nurturing. This position is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys building meaningful relationships with children, helping maintain a peaceful and organized home environment, and becoming a trusted long-term support person for the family.
