Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. 


The seasonal Game Day Staff prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00 and is tip eligible.

This is a seasonal role from August 19, 2026, and it will end on November 30, 2026.

This position will remain open until September 4, 2025.


The University Club of Virginia Tech is an elite Blacksburg social Club that offers premium dining, memorable events, and meeting spaces, with engaging programming designed to bring fans, faculty, alumni, and the business community together.


  • Conduct the register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
  • Build orders, prepare food, and have knowledge in all areas of concessions operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager.
  • Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to the disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
  • Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
  • Check the guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
  • Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, & or holidays as needed.
  • Previous experience in a concessions poisition a plus.
