Grounds Maintenance (Seasonal)

Pay Range
$15 - $18
Employment Type
Full-Time (Monday - Friday)
Seasonal (Will last until around October)
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain and care for lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, flowers, and other outdoor landscaping features.
Plant, water, prune, and maintain landscaping according to seasonal needs.
Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
Clean, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment after use.
Follow established safety procedures and proper equipment handling practices.
Work independently while managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks.
Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach with residents, visitors, and team members.
Support and adhere to Resthaven policies, procedures, and mission.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, and safety guidelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work effectively with older adults while demonstrating compassion, dignity, and respect.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education, Training, Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of landscaping, groundskeeping, lawn care, or related experience preferred.
Physical Demands
Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, push, pull, and work outdoors for extended periods.
Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and work from ladders when needed.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Primarily outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures.
May occasionally work in wet, dark, or damp conditions.
Moderate noise levels are typical when operating equipment.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Pay Range: $15 - $18 per hour
