Job description

Your Impact

The Packaging Design Lead is responsible for leading the creative and strategic direction of Lowe's Private Brand packaging and in-store displays. This role is responsible for developing, implementing and executing innovative packaging design solutions across key business areas—including Home Décor, Seasonal/Hardlines and Building Materials—spanning more than 400 product groups. Acting as a cross-functional design leader, this position partners closely with brand marketing, brand creative, packaging engineering, category management, product development and packaging production teams to ensure all designs align with established private brand standards, business strategies and overall company objectives. The Lead delivers impactful packaging that communicates brand and product value, enhances the customer experience, and strengthens brand engagement to drive sales performance.

What You Will Do
• Ensure quality and brand standards are met to provide packaging solutions that will resonate with the consumer and facilitate the buying process.
• Understand the private brands product categories and key competitors and mentor a team in the development of solutions across multiple packaging types and sizes.
• Manage the intake process to prioritize and delegate work to the design team, contractors or self as required to maintain the timely completion of packaging solutions.
• Develop photography guidelines and photo art direction across all brands to maintain consistency across assigned Private Brand packaging.
• Oversee projects to ensures major milestones, activities and resources required to complete project are aligned to and available to support.
• Oversee process improvements to minimize risk to the organization and customer.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or packaging design or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• 7 years of experience delivering packaging solutions that support brand standards and product messaging
• 3 years of experience mentoring graphic designers to deliver business objectives
• Experience in a marketing, large retail environment, consumer package goods company or advertising agency that services Fortune 500 companies
• Experience in the development and implementation of packaging, POP or marketing solutions
• Experience in a customer service role serving an internal or external client
Preferred Skills/Education
• Experience using a MAC platform

Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $143,600.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
