Relief Veterinarian – Burbank, CA (General Practice + Flexible Scheduling)

This role is ideal for veterinarians who value flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to practice high-quality general medicine without the pressure of emergency or urgent care.

Whether you are looking for one shift a month or a full schedule , you choose the shifts that fit your availability and lifestyle. Relief work should relieve stress — not add to it. We structure our relief roles so you can focus on practicing great medicine in a calm, supportive environment.

Scheduling

Shifts available on:

  • Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Your Role

As a Relief GP Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality medical and preventive care for small animals. You’ll work independently with technician support and collaborate with the clinic team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive examinations

  • Provide preventive care, vaccinations, and client education

  • Utilize digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, and in-house lab equipment

  • Administer anesthesia and perform soft tissue surgeries 

  • Communicate clearly with clients and staff. Document patient care accurately and efficiently. 

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with active veterinary license

  • Experience in small animal general practice

  • Proficiency in radiography, ultrasound, anesthesia, and general surgery

  • Strong communication and client interaction skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
