Are you looking for a flexible summer job? Stutsman County Weed Department is looking for a Full time Summer Seasonal Custom Chemical Applicator.Schedule:6am-6pm Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with possible overtime. Hours are dependent on weather and schedules must be flexible. Typical season runs from April through November depending on weather conditions.Salary:$21.23 - $22.30 per hour plus benefitsBrief description of job duties:Performance for this job will include; operating and maintaining both truck and UTV sprayer units that are equipped with a GPS mapping system, keeping accurate spray records, handling and mixing of pesticide chemicals, spraying of road side right-a-ways, along with public and private lands. Workers will also be collecting and distributing biological control agents around the county. Experience is preferred, but will train. A background in agriculture, weed science, and computers is also preferred.Minimum Experience and/or training requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license. Must be able to obtain certification in ND as Commercial Applicator in the following categories: Ground Core, Ag Pest, Right-a-Way, Ornamental and Turf. Stutsman County will pay for the certifications and training.
